Ukrainian Armed Forces commander General Alexander Siryski said that Russian drone superiority has effectively paralyzed the army’s conventional ground attack capability. He noted that armored vehicles are now used sparingly because drones threaten them, forcing soldiers to march 10–15 km on foot to reach their objectives. Siryski called for the development of automated drone‑detection and destruction systems so that armored vehicles can regain their tactical advantage. The war has highlighted how essential armored vehicles are, as progress without them would be impossible or extremely slow.
