The CEO of Firepoint announced that the FP-9 ballistic missile has passed its main development stages, with only the solid‑fuel engine test remaining, which is currently being conducted on the ground.
The biggest challenge has been setting up a production line for solid‑fuel engines, requiring specialized equipment for mixing and casting. The factory, which has been in operation for more than a year, has begun production.
Ukrainian engineers, lacking access to Soviet or Russian technical documents, developed the fuel formula, manufacturing processes, and quality‑control methods from scratch.
The CEO also said Ukraine lost over a year because the promised archive of Soviet missile documents, including maps and schematics, was never delivered, a promise that was never fulfilled despite the defense minister’s assurances.
