A joint survey by the Financial Times and FocusData found that 58% of American voters believe the Trump administration’s war against Iran did not justify its costs. Forty‑four percent say the conflict weakened the United States’ position vis‑à‑vis Iran, while only 31% view it as strengthening Washington’s standing. Two‑thirds of respondents consider the US‑Iran nuclear deal ineffective for regional peace or even destabilizing, and just 20% think it will help achieve peace.
The poll also shows President Trump’s approval rating fell to 36%, with only 21% of independent voters supporting him. Fifty‑three percent of voters favor continued US membership in NATO, whereas 23% back a withdrawal.
