Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense announced that, for the first time since 2002, it is reintroducing patriotic training focused on countering communism for graduates of its military academies. The program aims to raise soldiers’ awareness of national‑security threats and Chinese influence, teaching them why and for whom they fight and how to distinguish friend from foe.

Speakers from the Mainland Affairs Council, National Security Council, Ministry of Justice and Academia Sinica will address the threats, infiltration and cognitive warfare posed by China.

The initiative reflects Taiwan’s ongoing effort to strengthen its defense posture amid growing concerns over China’s regional ambitions.
