Heckler & Koch's 1960s 7.62 Caliber Weapon Project

In the 1960s, German arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch began work on a variant of its J‑3 weapon, dubbed the HK 33. The HK 32 variant was to use the 7.62‑mm caliber that the Russians employed in the AK‑47. Despite the shared caliber, the project never attracted interest and was ultimately abandoned.
