1979: Israeli F‑15s Down Syrian Mirage Over Lebanon

In 1979, Israeli F‑15 Eagle fighters from Base 133 Tayseh shot down four Syrian Mirage 21 aircraft over southern Lebanon. This was the first aerial kill for the F‑15. Since then, the F‑15 has achieved at least 100 air victories without losses in various conflicts.
