Images released by the Ukrainian Air Force show a Mi‑24V helicopter, supplied by the Czech Republic in 2022, bearing 185 destruction marks on its hull. Seventy‑eight of these marks are attributed to destroyed Russian drones, while a further 107 marks—whose exact nature has not been officially identified—may represent successful hits by unguided S‑8 rockets on Russian ground positions. The helicopter is equipped with a YakB‑12.7 anti‑drone gun mounted on its nose. If confirmed, the Mi‑24V could rank among Ukraine’s most effective combat helicopters in terms of targets destroyed.
