Ukraine has introduced its first domestically produced air defense system, the Ryf, equipped with R-10 missiles. The system, built on a Strela-10 chassis, entered service in January 2026 and is primarily designed to counter Russian drones.

Ryf carries four R-10 missiles and employs laser beam guidance, a thermal camera, a day camera, and a laser rangefinder. Its engagement range is reported to be up to 10 kilometres. Developed before the war but completed under wartime conditions, the system is now moving into mass production to replace scarce older Strela-10 missiles.
