The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval and aerospace forces carried out a coordinated missile and drone operation between 02:00 and 03:00 local time on Sunday, 7 Tir. According to the statement, the attack targeted eight key US military installations, including the Ali al‑Salam base in Kuwait and the Fifth Fleet facilities at Salman Port in Bahrain, using ballistic missiles and unmanned aircraft. The IRGC said the sites were destroyed as a decisive response to recent US actions.

The communiqué also referenced the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, asserting that Iran now assumes responsibility for monitoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and will enforce stricter penalties on vessels that violate the agreement. Any breach of the cease‑fire clause, it warned, will lead to the suspension of all related procedures and routes.
