Hezbollah’s senior official Sheikh Naeem Qasim criticised the Lebanese authorities for rejecting a U.S.-Iran cease‑fire framework that called for an immediate and permanent halt to military operations in Lebanon. He accused the government of abandoning Lebanon’s sovereignty, enabling Israeli air strikes that killed and wounded hundreds, and undermining the resistance. Qasim argued that any Israeli withdrawal must be unconditional and completed within sixty days, as stipulated in the memorandum, and warned that linking it to disarmament of Lebanese groups would jeopardise the country’s security and independence.
