French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France has stopped a Russian oil tanker linked to the "shadow fleet" network from operating off the coast of Sicily. The vessel was targeted because of its suspected involvement in a sanctions‑evasion scheme aimed at exporting oil in defiance of Western restrictions.
