Lebanese President Joseph Aoun received a telephone call from U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Deputy President and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in which Washington reiterated its backing of Aoun and Prime Minister Najib Mikati's efforts to expand the authority of the legitimate government and strengthen the role of the army and security forces.
