Security sources report a Saudi-flagged oil tanker carrying crude oil was damaged near the Strait of Hormuz, off the coast of Oman, following an attack on a Qatari liquefied natural gas carrier in the same area. The cause of the explosion remains unknown. The damaged vessel is believed to be the supertanker Wadian.
