The program aired on Iran’s state channel during the Ramadan war claimed that US warships were within 1,000 km of Iranian waters and were repeatedly fired upon. Satellite imagery from March 7 shows the USS Abraham Lincoln 360 km from Chabahar, well outside the range of Iranian cruise missiles, and no missiles struck the vessel. The program’s expert, who lacks military training, diverted the discussion to the US’s failure to hit the ship and offered no evidence of an attack.

After the satellite images were released, the Central Command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement about striking an Iranian oil tanker in the southern Strait of Hormuz, followed by a video from the Iranian Navy showing two oil tankers, SEA STAR III and SEVDA, being targeted. The program continued to copy unverified content from Telegram channels, sometimes misattributing sources, and relied on sensational claims such as a fire in the southern Hormuz Strait caused by US forces.

The misinformation highlights Iran’s lack of long‑range detection and tracking systems, including high‑altitude radar aircraft and optical/ radar imaging satellites, which hampers its ability to hit US naval vessels. The show’s reliance on unsubstantiated claims and copying from unverified channels contributes to public confusion and undermines factual reporting.
