Denmark's Ministry of Defense announced the country will purchase two P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft from Boeing. The aircraft are intended to strengthen surveillance around the Faroe Islands and Greenland, as well as support NATO anti-submarine operations.
Previously, Trump had repeatedly called for control of Greenland, citing national security concerns related to China and Russia, and accused Denmark of failing to take adequate measures.
