Yemen’s Houthi movement has accused Saudi Arabia of preventing an Iranian passenger aircraft from landing at Sana’a airport, claiming the flight carried a Houthi delegation to attend a funeral. The Houthis say Saudi jets entered Houthi‑controlled airspace to stop the plane, which was reportedly carrying more than 200 passengers, including wounded and patients.

The group warned that if Saudi strategic airports and infrastructure are targeted, it will retaliate. The incident underscores the ongoing tensions between the Houthi rebels, Iran and Saudi Arabia in the region.
