EISNA reports that Major General Ali Azmagi has been appointed as commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy. Azmagi previously served as commander of the Fifth Naval Region of the IRGC Navy.
The appointment follows a reshuffle within the IRGC’s naval forces, with Azmagi expected to oversee operations and strategic planning for the navy.
