Steak prices in the United States have hit a historic record, with demand remaining strong. Beef prices are still close to their highest levels in decades, as the country’s cattle herd has fallen to its lowest count in recent years. Ground beef prices rose 13% and steak prices 16% compared to last year. Despite these notable increases, consumer demand remains robust. According to NielsenIQ data, beef sales during the Fourth of July holiday period rose by about $352 million compared to the same period last year.
