Iran’s foreign‑affairs spokesperson said that technical talks between the United States and Iran are still ongoing and have not been halted. He added that there should be no obstacles to the freedom of shipping and that no high‑level meeting has been scheduled in Doha.
The ministry is coordinating with Oman on the Strait of Hormuz to guarantee safe passage for vessels. It also noted that $6 billion of Iran’s frozen assets have not been transferred to any country; those funds remain subject to the 2023 agreement and are earmarked only for humanitarian goods.
U.S. officials Steve Witzakoff and Jerd Koshner will travel to Qatar to meet with mediators and discuss the negotiation process, but no high‑level meeting has been arranged.
