Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Katz described the agreement signed between Israel and Lebanon as historic, noting it could create a new, safer reality along Israel's northern borders.
He emphasized that Israel will not fully withdraw from Lebanon, will keep troops in the security zone, including Bofors Hill, and that the main test will be the implementation of the deal, with many challenges ahead.
Katz said the deal is a strategic blow to Iran, that Hezbollah must be disarmed before any further withdrawal, and warned Tehran that any attack to block the agreement would be met with a much stronger response.
