Benjamin Netanyahu said that only a blind person could claim Israel has made no achievements, describing the country’s accomplishments as "huge and striking." He praised Israel’s control over the heights of the Balfour (Boufour) area overlooking southern Lebanon and vowed to remain in the security zone there for as long as necessary, rejecting any withdrawal. Netanyahu told the defence minister that the Israeli army has full freedom of action to eliminate any threats to its forces or civilians in northern Israel. He added that unfinished missions remain, calling for further action against Iran and Hamas, and warned that only the powerful survive in the region.
