The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that, after blocking three vessels, ships may only pass through the Strait of Hormuz with prior permission and by following designated routes. It warned that any vessel that transits without a permit, disables its Automatic Identification System, or deviates from the prescribed lanes will be responsible for any resulting consequences.
