Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that Iran has informed the United States it does not request or receive any fees, insurance costs, or other charges for vessels passing the Strait of Hormuz, contrary to false reports. He warned that if the information proves inaccurate, negotiations would end immediately.
He added that no U.S. money has been given to Iran or released to them, but that the United States will allocate some of its own funds—under U.S. control—to Iranian farmers and livestock owners for purchases of corn, wheat, soy and other essentials. Trump said food is urgently needed in Iran and that it will be bought exclusively from the United States.
