At least nine United States Air Force aerial refueling aircraft, including six KC-135 Stratotankers and three KC-46A Pegasus tankers, have been observed conducting operations over and around the Strait of Hormuz. While activity levels have varied in recent days, this represents one of the largest concentrations of tankers seen in the area recently.
