Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, directly refuted statements made by US Vice President nominee JD Vance, saying Iran has no plan to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors into nuclear facilities damaged during the war. He added that Iran will decide how to use newly released financial assets without any restrictions. Kanaani also stated that missile capabilities were not discussed in talks with the United States and will not be raised with any party in the future. Regarding the nuclear file, he said parties to the Memorandum of Understanding will first implement all its clauses before nuclear negotiations begin. He noted that main talks on the Strait of Hormuz will be held between Iran and Oman, followed by parallel negotiations with MOU parties. On Lebanon, Kanaani warned that any Israeli violation of the agreement, including attacks on Lebanon or Hezbollah, would trigger an Iranian response, emphasizing that no new attacks on Lebanon should occur and that the deal includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
