The U.S. labor market is being reshaped by artificial intelligence, according to estimates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Technicians servicing wind turbines are projected to see the highest employment growth of 49.9% between 2024 and 2034. Solar photovoltaic installers follow with a 42.1% increase, while specialized nurses and data scientists are expected to grow by 40.1% and 33.5% respectively.

Employment for electricians and construction managers is forecast to rise by about 10% by 2034, more than double the growth anticipated for accountants and lawyers. The construction sector currently faces a shortage of roughly 350,000 workers, a gap that could exceed one million due to retirements by 2030. Conversely, jobs in customer service and retail cashiers are expected to decline by 5% and 10% over the same period.
