Senior Iranian negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced that during negotiations in Switzerland an agreement was reached to free $12 billion of Iran's frozen assets. The deal is said to be finalised as part of ongoing diplomatic talks aimed at easing financial restrictions on Tehran.
