The EuroSatury defence exhibition in Paris last week was heavily shaped by lessons from the war in Ukraine. Companies focused on anti‑drone systems, combat ground robots and long‑range missiles with smart munitions, unveiling more than 500 new products.

KNDS presented the new CAPINT tank, designed to bridge the gap until the next generation of European tanks arrives. Built to counter drone threats and network‑centric warfare, the company emphasized that the tank is being updated for the era of unmanned aerial systems.

A large portion of the showcase featured drone detection, tracking and neutralisation technologies, with experts warning that future battles will be dominated by drones. European and Turkish firms also displayed new armed UGVs equipped with missiles, cannons and short‑range air‑defence systems, reflecting a shift from costly large platforms to swarms of drones, robots, electronic warfare and anti‑drone defence.
