The U.S. Vice President told Iranian officials that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the conclusion of Iran’s nuclear program have already been secured. He added that Washington aims to bring changes to the Middle East through diplomacy. Describing the encounter as historic, he noted that apart from meetings in Islamabad, Americans and Iranians have never met at such a high level before.
