Iran announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until Israel halts its attacks on Lebanon and Lebanon’s territorial integrity is guaranteed. Tehran also demanded that the United States fulfill its commitments, including easing restrictions on Iranian oil exports and releasing agreed financial assets. Only after these conditions are met does Iran say the strait will be reopened.
