The United States has agreed to sell up to 100 FIM‑92K Stinger man‑portable air‑defense missiles to Brazil, valued at roughly $330 million. The package includes launch systems, support equipment, training, technical services and logistical support. The new Stingers will replace the Russian‑made Igla‑S air‑defense missiles that Brazil has operated since 2014, amid growing difficulties in obtaining parts and missiles for the Igla system after the war in Ukraine.
