The US Financial Conditions Index has reached approximately 1.2 units, marking the easiest financial conditions since February 2026. This level is also near the highest recorded in at least 11 years. Similar levels were only observed in early 2025 and in 2021, before the Federal Reserve began its interest rate hiking cycle. Since March, the index has risen more than 1.0 unit from its trough. This improvement is largely driven by stock market growth and narrowing corporate bond spreads. Despite recent inflation increases, financial conditions in the United States continue to ease.
