Former President Donald Trump criticized Israel’s conduct in Lebanon, saying the country has been engaged with Hezbollah for too long and that many civilians are being killed. He argued Israel should not destroy residential buildings each time it targets individuals, noting that not all those targeted are Hezbollah members.

Trump suggested that Israel hand over the fight against Hezbollah to Syria, claiming that if Israel cannot act without killing many others, Syria would step in. He also called Israel’s recent strikes on Hezbollah positions in Beirut excessive and said he had conveyed his disapproval to Israeli officials.

The former president urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to act more responsibly regarding Lebanon and claimed that without his intervention, Israel would have been destroyed long ago.
