The Central Command of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the American army, which Tehran classifies as a terrorist force, carried out strikes targeting areas in southern Iran without honoring any commitments. The attacks occurred while the body of the late Commander Qasem Soleimani was being hosted by Iraqi officials and citizens. Iran's armed forces warned of a decisive response to what it called American aggression and terrorism, and stated they will not permit any interference in the affairs or administration of the Strait of Hormuz under any circumstances.
