Poland’s Ministry of Defence has officially confirmed the first transfer of Patriot PAC‑3 missile systems and S‑200 air‑defence systems to Ukraine. The announcement details that Poland has supplied a range of military equipment to Kyiv over the past two years, including tanks, artillery, and air‑defence systems, and will continue to provide additional PAC‑3 missiles and related munitions from 2024 onward.

The transfer was carried out following a request from NATO leadership and after consultations with other Patriot‑system‑operating countries. Polish officials stated that the number of missiles moved did not exceed the country’s secure reserve levels and would not compromise Poland’s own air‑defence capabilities.
