The U.S. Treasury Department has revoked the previous license related to Iranian oil and petrochemical transactions and replaced it with a general license. Under the new authorization, counterparties have 10 days to conclude their existing activities.
Starting July 7, 2026, no new transactions involving the purchase, sale, or loading of Iranian-origin crude oil, petrochemical products, or petroleum derivatives will be permitted.
