German company Rheinmetall announced that a NATO member has signed a contract to purchase several thousand 155‑mm artillery shells, along with launch costs, for delivery to Ukraine. The deal is valued at a few tens of millions of euros, but the ordering country and exact quantity have not been disclosed. The contract covers ER02A1 B/B explosive shells, available in 30‑km and 40‑km (Base Bleed) variants. These munitions have already been supplied to Ukraine and are used by Western artillery systems such as Archer, Caesar, PzH 2000 and RCH 155.
