Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. lawmakers will pressure the Treasury Secretary to support a new Russia sanctions bill on the sidelines of a NATO meeting. The lawmakers plan to meet with Ambassador Tom Barakat of Turkey for dinner on Tuesday.
The bill, introduced by Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, would give the president authority to impose sanctions and tariffs on countries that trade with Russia, including buyers of Russian oil and uranium.
