Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Financial Times that the purpose of expanding long-range drone attacks is to apply direct pressure on Russian leadership and Vladimir Putin personally. He said that as attacks on Moscow intensify, Putin will be forced to personally feel the consequences of the war. Zelensky also noted that with operations in Crimea, Ukraine has demonstrated its ability to create temporary air superiority to target Russian military bases, air defense systems, and logistics centers.
