The forces known as "Kadyrovites" are military and security units loyal to Ramzan Kadyrov, the president of the Chechen Republic, fighting alongside Russia in the Ukraine war.

These forces emerged after the Second Chechen War ended and Russian control over the republic was consolidated. Their initial core consisted of forces loyal to the Kadyrov family, and over time, most were formally integrated into Russia's National Guard (Rosgvardiya) and some into the Defense Ministry.

Although legally part of Russia's military and security structures, these units maintain a distinct identity and command structure due to their personal loyalty to Ramzan Kadyrov. They are commonly known as the "Akhmat" forces.

The Kadyrovites have participated in various operations in Ukraine, including urban combat, clearing occupied areas, special operations, facility protection, and front-line battles. Beyond their military role, they are known for widely publishing propaganda images and videos of their activities.

Today, the Kadyrovites are among the most recognizable units in the Ukraine war, operating alongside the Russian Army across various fronts.
