Russia has announced a new patent for a "flying robotic tank" system. The design features a ground vehicle that carries a small drone capable of being launched during operations and returned to the vehicle after the mission. The drone is equipped with a camera and thermal sensor to detect and observe areas beyond the ground robot’s direct line of sight. The primary goal is to enhance situational awareness and overcome the limited field of view of ground robots. No operational or field-use reports have been released; the system remains at the patent stage.
