Donald Trump claimed that Iran is "pleading to reach an agreement" and that both sides have decided to suspend negotiations for one week following the ceremony for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran. He said that during this period neither side will take military action against the other.
Trump also asserted that the United States has the capability to simultaneously target Iranian leaders at the ceremony but will refrain from doing so to preserve the nuclear negotiations, noting that a single strike could eliminate all participants and leave no one to negotiate.
