According to the Financial Times, Lockheed Martin stated it cannot assure U.S. allies on the timing of Patriot PAC-3 missile deliveries because the United States government, not the company, determines delivery priorities. Despite a Pentagon agreement worth $4.7 billion to raise annual PAC-3 production from 650 to 2,000 missiles by 2033, rising demand from the conflicts in Ukraine and Iran has constrained supply. Countries such as Germany, Japan, Poland, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates face uncertainty over future deliveries as Washington decides how to allocate its limited missile stockpiles.
