The new rifle’s counterbalance system works by moving two internal parts in opposite directions, similar to a twin‑gear mechanism. Unlike traditional designs such as the AK or AR, the gas system itself does not differ, but the moving parts are split into a rearward and a forward section. The opposing motion of these two sections cancels each other out, bringing the net internal forces close to zero.
However, the presence of this system alone does not eliminate recoil. Newton’s third law still applies when the bullet and gases exit the barrel, creating a small but noticeable push. Proper muzzle brake design is required to counteract this effect.
