A senior U.S. official announced that the signing ceremony for the agreement will take place on Friday, with Vanes, Vitkov, and Kushner in attendance. He said the United States is in direct contact with senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran—a level of communication that has not occurred in the past 47 years—allowing a clear understanding of Iran's demands. Iranian officials have agreed to concessions they previously rejected, prompting the U.S. to consider actions it had earlier opposed.

The official added that a significant increase in ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is expected within the next two weeks.
