ISM Manufacturing PMI for June reported an actual reading of 53.3, compared with a forecast of 54 and a previous reading of 54.
Employment in the manufacturing sector was 49.7, up from the forecast of 49 and the prior figure of 48.6.
New orders stood at 56, matching the forecast and slightly below the previous 56.8.
The price index for manufacturing was 73, lower than the forecast of 79 and the previous 82.1.
