Ukraine has introduced a new heavy underwater drone called the SEA TRIDENT, designed for long-range attacks on strategic maritime targets. The system can transport up to one ton of cargo, operate covertly beneath disputed waters, and perform missions such as naval attacks, equipment delivery, and tracking or destroying enemy underwater drones.
The drone has an operational range of about 3,200 km, weighs 10 tons, and measures 10 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 1.5 meters in height. It can reach a maximum speed of 18.5 km/h, cruise at 11 km/h, and operate at depths of up to 60 meters.
SEA TRIDENT follows earlier Ukrainian underwater drone projects, including the Toloka family of UAVs.
