Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, said the country does not agree to receive transit fees from the Strait of Hormuz, calling the practice prohibited by international law. He emphasized that Oman adheres to these rules and that Iran bears responsibility for ensuring safe shipping lanes and removing any maritime mines.

Al‑Busaidi also denied the possibility of receiving "service fees," stating that such payments could only be justified for enhancing navigation safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental pollution mitigation.
