Ahmed al-Shar, the president of Syria's transitional government, condemned Israel’s actions, saying the country has long targeted Syria’s stability and now seeks to turn the nation into a permanent scene of chaos. He accused Israel of using all means to spark conflict, weaken Syrian unity, and hinder the country’s reconstruction. Al‑Shar warned that military power does not guarantee victory and that initiating war does not ensure control over its outcomes. He emphasized that Syrians have historically opposed division and that Syria is neither a stage for foreign conspiracies nor a venue for others’ ambitions at the cost of women’s and children’s lives.
