U.S. officials, however, have stated that technical negotiations covering all aspects of the Iran‑U.S. memorandum of understanding remain ongoing. Axios added that Tehran and Washington have agreed to halt mutual attacks, which had resumed after Iran rejected a joint International Maritime Organization and Oman framework for managing shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
